Meet SurCATS

A great team of local residents, organizations and county and state agencies are working together to mitigate and prevent life and property-threatening events in Big Sur as a result of the summer fires. SurCATS is the largely volunteer, community group facilitating the communication of this information to the public through this website and if needed, a hotline or other system. SurCATS was created in Big Sur 10 years ago to serve the community during times of disaster. Read more about us here.
